This document is a drafting starting point written by your developer, not legal advice. Have a lawyer qualified in your operating jurisdiction review it — particularly the consumer-withdrawal, refund and financial-promotions sections — and delete this banner once they have signed it off.
Terms of Service

1. What SYNAPSE is
SYNAPSE is journalling and analytics software for traders. You enter records of trades you have already placed elsewhere, and the software performs arithmetic on those records. SYNAPSE does not execute orders, hold funds, connect to your broker, or provide investment advice, portfolio management or a signal service. Nothing produced by the software is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Subscription, trial and billing
- Plans are $25 per month or $210 per year, both including a 7-day free trial.
- Starting a trial requires a valid payment method. We run a zero-value authorisation to confirm the card is live. No amount is captured during the trial.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and the first payment is taken on day 7. We send a reminder email approximately 48 hours beforehand.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
4. Refunds
The trial exists so you can evaluate the product without paying. Outside the statutory withdrawal rights described in our withdrawal policy, payments for periods already started are non-refundable. We will always consider clear cases of technical failure or duplicate charges on their merits — contact support.
5. Affiliate programme
- Commission accrues on payments that have actually cleared. Trials, refunded payments and chargebacks generate no commission.
- The discount granted to a person who buys through a referral code, and whether it applies to the first payment or to every payment, is stated at checkout at the time of purchase. Those terms are fixed for that subscription and do not change if we alter the programme later.
- Commission on any single referred person is capped at $100 over the lifetime of that referral. Once that ceiling is reached, further payments by that person earn nothing. Earning more requires referring more subscribers.
- Referral attribution lasts 60 days from the first click on your link.
- Withdrawals can be requested once your cleared balance reaches $100. Requests are reviewed manually and, once approved, paid to the PayPal address you provide; your balance then resets to zero.
- We may reject a request where the underlying payments are disputed, refunded or suspected fraudulent. You will be given the reason.
- Self-referral, incentivised signups that do not intend to use the product, paid search on our brand terms, spam, and any misrepresentation of the product are grounds for forfeiting accrued commission and termination from the programme.
6. The Jundiee assistant
SYNAPSE includes a conversational assistant that comments on the patterns in your own journal. It is powered by a third-party AI provider, and what happens to the text you send is described in our Privacy Policy, section 5. Read it before you type anything you would not want leaving your own records.
The assistant is a reflection tool, not an adviser. It has no market data. It does not know what any instrument is doing now or will do next. Nothing it produces is investment advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or a prediction, and you must not treat it as one. AI systems also make mistakes and can state wrong things confidently — check anything that matters before acting on it.
You remain solely responsible for every trading decision you make. Losses incurred after any conversation with the assistant are yours, exactly as they would be without it.
Do not use the assistant to send other people's personal data, and do not rely on it in an emergency. If you are in financial or personal distress, please speak to a qualified professional or someone you trust rather than to software.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the service; do not resell or redistribute access; do not upload unlawful content or content you have no right to upload; do not use the service to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that breach this section, with notice where practicable.
8. Your content
Your journal entries, notes and screenshots remain yours. You grant us only the licence necessary to store, process and display that content back to you in order to operate the service. We do not sell it, and we do not publish it.
9. Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features over time; where a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will give notice and you may cancel.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SYNAPSE is provided as-is, and our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for trading losses. Trading decisions are yours alone. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for material breach of these terms. On termination you can export your data as described in the privacy policy.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to you locally. Questions: legal@synapse-trading.com.
